Thank you
Another brilliant IRTS AGM weekend came to a close yesterday. From start to finish, great fun, lots of laughs a few pints and most importantly not a bad word between anyone. The SEARG IRTS AGM 2025 Weekend organising committee would like to say a massive thank you to all who made the weekend such a brilliant event. We have so many people to thank so before we even start I will apologise to anyone we leave out because we know we will forget someone. Without a location we would be meeting in a wet field in Carlow so firstly a massive thank you to all the staff at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel in Carlow for the brilliant help. This was our second time there and once again they all looked after us so well. we had the pleasure of dealing with so many of their brilliant staff over the past year, but we only know of few of their names so thanks to Aisling, Sarah, James, Willie and Caylum and Shannon. A massive thanks to Rachel at reception for all her brilliant help over Saturday and especially on Sunday and hopefully we didn’t annoy you too much!!
Thanks to everyone that showed up on Friday night for a great night with a bit of grub and a few pints. We were so lucky to have 5 great workshop talks on Saturday with all 5 having massive attendances so thanks to Ana, Mike, Philip, Eddie, Jamie, Diarmuid and Tony for taking the time to come and give their time at the talks. We were thrilled to have such a big crowd join us on Saturday night for the Gala Dinner and thanks to all who attended. We were thrilled to have our special guests join us so a massive thanks to both Brefne and Micheal and both their wife’s for joining us on the night. A huge thanks to all the catering staff on duty at the Woodford Dolmen on Saturday night for looking after all of us so well. It was a great night, and it carried on for a few people well in to the early hours!!!
An unbelievable amount of people showed up on Sunday morning for the SEARG Radio Rally and once again a massive thanks to everyone who came along. It was great to see such a big crowd waiting to get in at 10.30. Special thanks to Higgins Furniture Hire for the tables for the rally. Thanks to all the traders and exhibitors who showed up on the day and we hope it was a successful day for all of you. Thanks to everyone who bought raffle tickets on the day which helps to support the club. Without prizes it is impossible to have a rally so a massive thanks to all the companies both nationally and internationally who sponsored prizes on the day. It was a great rally and again thanks to everyone for coming along.
Thanks to everyone in SEARG for their support and help over the past 12 months and in particular a massive thanks to the following people. Edwin for all his great work in doing a floor plan for the rally. Every last detail on the plan was inch perfect! Thanks to Ann Marie, Vicky and Shirley for doing the door on the Sunday morning at the rally. Thanks to Mark, Patsy, Dylan, Martin, Joe, Bernard, John, Bob, Pat and Mary for making sure everyone was ok on the day at the rally. A huge thanks Daithi EI6JGB for taking the time bringing up all his equipment and doing the 40m News from the radio rally. A special mention of thanks to a great friend of the club Eoghan Kinane for looking after all our audio-visual needs over the weekend. Eoghan has recorded all the Saturday workshop talks and they will be uploaded to YouTube in the next few weeks.
Finally thank you to the IRTS for entrusting us with the event. We hope we did not let you down. To finish off we would like to wish Enda EI2II the very best of luck as he retires as president and wish John EI4L the very best of luck in his new role and everyone in the club looks forward to working alongside John and the entire IRTS committee. Everyone in EI2WRC would like to wish the Limerick Clare Amateur Radio Club the very best of luck with the hosting of the AGM Weekend in 2026.
Again, our deepest apologies if we have forgotten anyone.
